436 SELECTED OUT OF OVER 2,000 CENSUS APPLICANTS IN MONZE DISTRICT.

The Monze District Census Commitee has released a total of 436 names of successful applicants out of more than 2,000 who sat for the census aptitude test to be deployed as enumerators and supervisors.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS today, District Census Commiteee Coordinator Mr. Kanyanga Kanyanga states that the District received a total of 3,700 applications for the job of enumerators and supervisors against the allocated places of 436 in the District.

He said the District rceieved overwhelming response from community adding that the screening process and the aptitude tests were conducted professionally and transparently to ensure that only the best were picked.

" As a district we have finally selected 401 and 35 supporting staff who sat for the census exercise and passed the aptitude test whose cut off marks was at 73 out of 100, said Mr Malambo.

"The average performance for the District was at 58 per cent with the highest scoring 100 per cent this indicates that the performance was very good, he added.

Mr. kanyanga also advised those who have failed the test and have been left out to have hope as the New Dawn government was working at creating more job opportunities citing the recruitment of soldiers any time soon this year.

The district census coordinator said the ruling United Party for National Develppment (UPND) government was commiited to ensure that all youths were employed through either public, private and / or through accessing the Constituency development Funds(CDF) and create self employment.

" I want to implore those who have been left out of this exercise not to despair as the New Dawn government is working frantically to sort out this problems of unemployment especially among the youths. As you are aware government will be employing more people in the security wings as well as making it possible for youths to access the CDF for them to have self eployment and possibly employ others as well," said Mr. Kanyanga.

And one of the successful applicant Ms Chestinah Siboole pledged to work hard to ensure that the national execrise was succesffully in the District.

All succesfful applicants are expected to undertake a 10 days training before being deployed in the the field.

The national census exercise would be conducted from 18th August to 7th September, 2022.
